Foster Huntington is a blogger and wanderer who has spent the last four years on the road, living the nomadic life in his van. Now, however, he has decided to settle down and has built a unique treehouse complex to do just that in. The unique and gorgeous complex features two platforms, while there is also a skate park attached to it.
Foster’s so-called Cinder Cone treehouse home is located in Skamania, Washington, and it was hand built by Foster with the help of his friends and family. His mother is a carpenter mother and her boyfriend is a timber-framer. Tucker Gorman of Perspective Design/Build helped design this home, which is comprised of two 220 square foot spaces attached to Douglas Fir trees. One of these living spaces serves as Foster’s home, while the other is a guesthouse, and they are connected via a narrow footbridge.
