The tiny home built by Shelley and Joshua is yet another example of how spacious a small home can be. They’ve equipped their 224-square-foot tiny home with a spacious kitchen, full bathroom, and a sleeping area that has adequate headroom.
Looking at the pictures of this home, it’s hard to believe it is actually a floating home and not some clever photoshoping. This so-called Floating House was designed and built by Steve and Nick Tidball of the ,TBWA Advertising agency and it is currently floating on the Thames in London, UK.
The design firm CannonDesign, or more precisely their design studio Yazdani Studio, recently introduced a unique and modern Sleeping Pod, which will be used as student housing at the University of Utah’s Lassonde Studios. The Sleeping Pod is a fully furnished dorm room, and could also easily be used as a guesthouse, office space, extra bedroom or temporary housing. (more…)
Pallets are sturdy and abundant, and therefore a great material for upcycling to meet a number of architecture and design needs. A Tokyo based firm Hiroki Tominaga Atelier recently used them in a unique office space renovation. What’s more, they were able to do so without the end result looking like a DIY project.
