In conjunction with the launch of this site’s new design (which has been an unbelievable success to date), I thought long and hard about the direction of Jetson Green. I can’t say where this site will be in five years, but it occurred to me that the best focus was the residential context. Thus, Jetson Green is not just a green building site any more, it’s a “design-oriented site for sustainable homes, natural materials, and green technology.”
Glad to be here opening up the new year with you. Last year was exciting, but next year is going to be incredible. We’re starting 2011 with a newly revamped website, a new focus, and all sorts of ambitions. Stay tuned … in the mean time, read through our shout out to 2010 with these compilations:
Happy holidays and all the best from Jetson Green! Stay healthy, keep warm, and enjoy friends and family. We’re going to publish some year-end coverage over the next week that will be great. And we’ll take a look forward. It’s been a fun year and the next will be excellent. In the mean time, if you have a green home or bathroom/kitchen project, submit it for possible publication.
I’ve been working with a fantastic web designer, Dave Onkels of Dotvita, to migrate this massive four-year blog from Typepad to WordPress. After Typepad’s parent company was bought by VideoEgg, I decided it was finally time to make the move. So here’s what you’ll find as you start using the new and improved Jetson Green.
If you're on the web, here's a quick note to say Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you're safely enjoying the day with family, friends, and others. I'm grateful to you for coming back and motivated everyday to find better projects, products, and noteworthy topics.
Also, just for information, I have an excellent web guy working on migrating this entire site rom Typepad to WordPress. It's a big endeavor, but I'm looking forward to being able to do some new things. To make a bigger difference in the world … stay tuned!
