Jetson Green Goes Green for NBA Finals

The Big Perk

This year, unlike years in the past, JG has decided to take a serious look at the NBA Finals for the purpose of supporting the greenest team.  If you’ve been tucked away on another planet, you might not know that the NBA Finals start tonight between the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics.  It’s an age-old rivalry between two classic teams, and the Celtics are in the clear lead when playing each other (8-2 all time in NBA Finals).  But we’re not going for the Celtics because of their winning tradition, or the mad skills of Pierce, Garnett, Rondo, and Allen.  We’re not even pulling for the Celtics because Perkins has been going berserk in the Playoffs.  We’re going for the Celtics because they’re GREEN.  The color, that is.  And as much as I like the Lakers, it’s kind of hard to argue with that.

PTI: Testing Some Comments Changes

Jgbanner

Been working under the hood again.  Over the weekend, I installed a new comments system by a company called Disqus.  Give it a go with a shout below, you’ll like it.  I decided to give the system a try because it will help increase the communal aspects of Jetson Green.

  • It’s easy to use and easy to read.
  • Gives readers with more control over their profile.
  • Readers can create an avatar/profile with a short bio and links to various websites, such as twitter, facebook, delicious, etc.
  • Readers can also vote up and down various comments.

And some tech blogs such as A VC, Fake Steve, and Loic Le Meur use it.  If you don’t like it, let me know.

PTI: What You Didn't Know about "Jetson Green"

This is purely random, but I had no idea a person named "Jetson Green" actually existed.  That’s right.  Sometime prior to July 1820, Jetson Green, a debtor, intermarried with Julian Bass, administratix.  Their problems came before the Supreme Court of Alabama.  I’d like to give you an idea of what was going on between Jetson and Julian, but seriously, try to give this opinion a read — language sure has changed in 200 years (and I practice law for a living!).  Anyway, it seems that good ole’ Jetson Green did well by marrying the person to whom he was supposed to be paying a debt.  At least for a short period of time, that is … I’m constantly amazed at what shows up on the internet.
