Coworking Bus

Telecommuting jobs have been gaining in popularity in recent years, as have coworking offices. But even the latter means that you’re tied up to a desk and have limited time each day to enjoy the world around you. To solve this problem, the company One Wild Life (OWL) from San Diego has come up with an ingenious solution. Easy to Assemble Flatpack Off-Grid Cabins and Homes Coming Soon

The company Leckie Studio Architecture + Design of Vancouver recently unveiled plans to start producing innovative modular cabins, which will arrive in a flatpack package and be as easy to assemble as IKEA furniture. Imaginative Off-The-Grid Tiny Home

A large part of the appeal of tiny homes lies in the unique design that these bite-sized dwellings offer. And the so-called Moon Dragon, recently created by the tiny home designer Zyl Vardos of Olympia, Washington is certainly one of the more imaginative and unique small homes we’ve seen in a long time. Rotating Forest Retreat

Seems like the idea of building rotating tiny homes so they can follow the sun and maximize solar heat gain or privacy might be catching on. A Home Made Out of Cardboard

The Holland-based firm Fiction Factory have recently unveiled a modular home, which is built out of layered cardboard. While the latter is not quite the top choice of building material, the architects claim that the home will last for up to 100 years, which is quite a bold statement. The home is called Wikkelhouse (which translates to “wrapper house”) and due to the modular way of construction, it can be built in virtually any size the owner wants. (more…)
