Blu Relaunches Glidehouse Green Prefab

Blu Homes continues to dominate the green prefab world.  Today the company announced the relaunch of Glidehouse, a gorgeous home originally made famous by Michelle Kaufmann.  Glidehouse will be available nationally and built in Blu’s own factory using the company’s proprietary steel and wood framing system.  The new Glidehouse retains all of the signature features of the old design and can be purchased for $360,000+.

Blu Launches Spacious Balance Prefab

Blu Homes, a green prefab startup out of Massachusetts, is on a tear with $7 million in new cash and a contemporary set of homes.  Today the company announced its latest design called Balance, which is a 1,632 square foot single-level home that prices from about $270,000.  Balance is factory-built, ships anywhere in the country on two trucks, and unfolds to a spacious 34' wide and 48' long with 16' ceilings.

Blu Completes Another Next Gen Prefab

Notwithstanding the much talked about death of prefab, factory-built homes that are energy efficient and made with healthy materials keep finding buyers.  Blu Homes, a prefab startup that just received $7 million from private investors and is opening a new 80,000 square-foot facility in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, built this green home for Rainy Day and Eileen Cullinane in Rhode Island.

Blu Launches Origin Folding Prefab

Early this month, Blu Homes announced the launch of their new product line dubbed Origin.  As you can see below, Origin is built using Blu’s folding technology, which allows the company to ship homes nationally, and then unfold them to widths up to 17-20 feet.  It’s an interesting take on factory-built construction.  And Blu just delivered four Origins to the new late night talk show Lopez Tonight in Burbank, California.
