For example, Blu Homes just launched Evolution, Rocio Romero launched the stackable LV2, PieceHomes launched extraPieces, and LivingHomes launched wood frame construction nationally. Ideabox, an Oregon-based prefab company that recently launched the new Fortino, is revamping their lineup with the new Urban Series.

Shedworking, a term coined by freelancer Alex Johnson, refers to the art of working from home in a shed-like space separate from the house. Johnson has been at the forefront of this movement with his popular Shedworking site. He's also the author of a book on the topic, which is due to hit the shelves in June 2010. G•O Logic, a design-build collaboration of architect Matthew O’Malia and builder Alan Gibson, has been working on a prototype home with considerable aspirations. When complete, Gibson and O’Malia hope the net-zero energy home receives both Passive House and LEED Platinum certification. The Belfast home has about 1,500 square feet of space and could go on the market for a price as low as $225,000, according to The Maine Public Broadcasting Network.
