  • Treated Cotton Absorbs Water from Air

    #1
Researchers at TU Eindhoven in the Netherlands and Hong Kong Polytechnic University, for example, have developed a new treatment that converts cotton fabric into a superhydrophilic material. The coated textile readily absorbs water from moist air up to over three times (340 percent) its own weight.
New treated cotton fabric can be converted into a superhydrophilic material, which can absorb and repel water vapor for drinking water, agriculture, or more.
