  • Installing geothermal heat pump?

I am really inquisitive about Geo-thermal heat pump and whether it is really difficult to install it.

    Hey Lucas,
You'd be glad to know that most of the units can be easily installed particularly when they are replacing another forced-air system. Geo-thermal heat pumps can be installed in areas that are not suitable for fossil fuel furnaces because there is no combustion, thus no need to vent exhaust gases.
Ductwork needs to be installed in residential homes that do not feature an existing air distribution system. The intricacies of installing ductwork will vary and it will be wise if it's assessed by a contractor.

Difficult or not, but installation of geo-thermal heat pump definitely requires specialized technical knowledge and right equipments so as to install the piping properly. Definitely, installation of geo-thermal pump is not a DIY project. You need to find a qualified professional and contact your local utility company for their listings of qualified, certified and experienced installers in your area. The smartest thing you can do is to seek references from the owners of systems.
