The only off-grid feature of the Rio Grande is the composting toilet, as otherwise the tiny home isn’t capable of operating off-the-grid. It needs to be hooked up to a generator or a power supply to keep running, as well as to satisfy the occupant’s water and air-conditioning needs.
The exterior of the Rio Grande is clad with cedar wood, into which an abstract river image was burnt using a propane torch. The builders used reclaimed wood to construct the fold-down porch, as well as for the front and rear doors, and picture frames.
The Rio Grande took about six weeks to construct and was sold for roughly $60,000.
one of the nicer ones that i have seen.
a little pricey though
They all seem a tad pricier than you’d think for the size. Although I may just be a cheapskate.
