The Nomadic Shelter actually has no floor, and allows the occupants to build a fire in the sandpit inside it. Needless to say, given that the structure is made primarily of wood, this is a huge fire hazard. The shelter also features a small balcony, while the interior is laid out in an open plan type of design. There is no insulation to speak of, meaning that it is mostly suited for habitation in the summer months, or in temperate regions.

The Nomadic Shelter is an interesting approach to providing festival housing. It joins together simplicity, ease of construction and draws on the architectural heritage of the past. With a few alterations it could also easily become a more permanent rental structure in places where minimal environmental impact is desired.
