New Blueair Air Purifier Just Makes Sense
This the new Blueair Sense designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune. It was designed to shatter barriers in the bland world of air purification with a contemporary design, touch-less control, compact size, low energy consumption, quiet operation, and optimal clean air delivery rate. All Blueair units are Energy Star certified and use “HEPA Silent” technology, and I understand Blueair Sense will be no different. I’ve asked Blueair for pricing and availability information and will update this article when I hear back.
Update 5/29/12 – Blueair told Jetson Green the company is still finalizing retail plans, but expect to see Sense available in about September 2012 for the likely retail price of $379.
As for the specs, Blueair left a comment below:
“[Sense] will produce over 100 cfm particle free air per minute – using only 30 W! Energy Star certified and third party certified by AHAM, as always with a Blueair product…Removes 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 µm – would be HEPA rating H13 according to EU standards. Also contains two filters with enhanced activated carbon. Optimized for silent and efficient cleaning in an approx 150 sq feet room…”
