This the new Blueair Sense designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune. It was designed to shatter barriers in the bland world of air purification with a contemporary design, touch-less control, compact size, low energy consumption, quiet operation, and optimal clean air delivery rate. All Blueair units are Energy Star certified and use “HEPA Silent” technology, and I understand Blueair Sense will be no different. I’ve asked Blueair for pricing and availability information and will update this article when I hear back.
Update 5/29/12 – Blueair told Jetson Green the company is still finalizing retail plans, but expect to see Sense available in about September 2012 for the likely retail price of $379.
As for the specs, Blueair left a comment below:
“[Sense] will produce over 100 cfm particle free air per minute – using only 30 W! Energy Star certified and third party certified by AHAM, as always with a Blueair product…Removes 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 µm – would be HEPA rating H13 according to EU standards. Also contains two filters with enhanced activated carbon. Optimized for silent and efficient cleaning in an approx 150 sq feet room…”
