Aqua2use Sends Grey Water to the Plants

California-based Water Wise Group makes the Aqua2use Greywater System, which was selected recently as a Top-10 Green Product for 2012 by Environmental Building News and GreenSpec.  The product is meant to be a cost-effective way to save water and could help a family of four conserve up to 40,000 gallons of water annually through the reuse of washing machine, shower, and bath water.

Aqua2use may be connected with a drip irrigation solution to distribute water that’s been filtered by the grey water system.  The whole setup can be installed in an afternoon by a licensed plumber without extensive plumbing changes, according to Water Wise Group.  Aqua2use sells for about $399 (gravity operation) or $649 (pump).

That’s really neat! It really shows that you don’t need to spend a lot of green to make a difference.  Not only that, but anyone can help the environment.  Not just those in conservation

Very nice post. If I make an easy conversion of the re-use of 40 000 gallons = 88$/year of saving. So I will start to save after only 7 years (649$ solution) and it’s also great product for the environment.
