Formica Unveils FSC-Certified Laminates

Earlier this week, Formica announced the availability of high-pressure, decorative laminates with full FSC certification at no additional charge.  The new, eco-friendlier laminates are manufactured in plants in Evendale, Ohio and St. Jean, Quebec and may contribute toward LEED credits in the certified wood category.

Other than FSC certification, Formica Brand Laminates are GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified under the standard for low-emitting products.

In addition, to help consumers evaluate green attributes, Formica maintains life cycle assessment information on its products.  Check it out in the sustainability section of the Formica website.  When considering the various surface options on the market, perhaps FSC Laminates should be in the mix.
