Blue Crest, a modern factory-built abode by Texas-based Ma Modular, is complete and the owners have moved in.  The 1,900 square-foot home was finished in Austin with two modules and includes three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a screened porch, garage, and a large deck (pictured).

The home was about 80% complete in the factory and installed on the site in early February 2011, as filmed in this video by Jim Bruno.

Blue Crest has reclaimed pine floor from a 100 year-old convent.  The owners bought and stored these floors for about 10 years, waiting to put them in the new home.

The green prefab also has Durcon Elements counters with 10% post-consumer recycled content, bamboo floors with low-VOC Velvit oil finish, efficient windows by Gerkin, and stucco and Hardi siding.
