It seems green homes continue to sell well in these economic times. Last month, two model homes at Mosaic Walk opened to visitors and, with purchase incentives and pricing from the low $300,000, phase one sold out completely. Located in Garden Grove in northern Orange Country, Mosaic Walk has been designed and built for LEED certification.
These contemporary green townhomes have water efficient toilets, tankless water heating, low-VOC interior paint, Energy Star appliances, built-in recycling, as well as everything else required to achieve green building certification.
I ran a Walkscore on the sales location and came up with a 75, which indicates that Mosaic Walk is in walking distance proximity to shops, restaurants, grocers, and a park. Seems like a nice little spot.
This green community is located off Harbor Boulevard and Palm Street within the International West entertainment district. Floorplans range in size from 1,294 to 1,791 square feet, and construction is by The Olson Company.
