Organic Fabric from Pick Hemp

Hemp

Whether you are looking for organic fabric for upholstery, curtains, or a headboard, it is definitely a challenge to find.  You would think that by now there would be plenty of companies to choose from with selections similar to regular fabric, but there aren't.  Pick Hemp, founded in the early 1990's, has one of the best collections of eco-friendly fabrics on the market.  They offer a range of materials including hemp, silk blends, organic cotton, and soybean and bamboo.  Pricing is incredibly reasonable compared to the other options on the market with a range from $4 - $14 /yard.

They have a decent variety of colors, all fairly natural, and they will actually custom dye fabric to any color of your choosing, if you are willing to buy between 300 and 500 yards.  The pattern selection is decent, but I am still searching/waiting for an eco-fabric with fun, modern prints.  But, overall, Pick Hemp is one of the best options out there right now for green fabric.  Want samples of their fabrics?  They will send you 50 swatches for $10, which is quite reasonable.  In addition to being earth friendly, Pick Hemp is also conscious of the labor practices used to make their fabrics.

you should check out harmony susalla designs, or mod green pod designs--I found them at Near Sea Naturals online. Not cheap, but very delectable.

Thanks for commenting. Yes, I know about both of these companies and they have nice, unique prints, but the selection is very limited and since you can't buy directly from the company, it is very difficult to order and ever find a specific print. They both need to sell to customers from their websites.
