Panel House by David Hertz (F2)

This home is a three-story modern home in LA designed by David Hertz for Thomas Ennis. In the place of walls, Hertz's design called for industrial refrigerator panels--it keeps cool when it's warm outside and keeps warm when it's cool outside. This home is referred to as the 'Panel House,' or according to an article in Wired, the 'Ice Box.'
"F2" is short for "Flickr Friday," a weekly short posted on Friday with an image from Flickr and a quick description. Feel free to email me your F2 ideas.

Hey man. Thanks for posting my pic. Why not tell people who took the pic? Or link to the original photo?

Jon, click the picture and there's link to your flickr page with the photo. This is isn't a blog about photographers, it's a blog about green buildings, so I properly attributed the picture by linking to the place I found it, your flickr page. Great work, by the way.

We have tried to find out what company produced the panels, so we can use the same company to build panels for our home. Does anyone know who did them???
